Our Team

Sarah has worked in children’s and youth work for 30 years and is passionate about young people exploring the Christian faith and for churches to be supporting their local schools.

Anne has been in youth ministry for 8 years, 3 of which she was studying at Cornhill in London. She hopes to help students find their true worth and speak confidently about what they believe, and to partner with local churches to achieve this.

Stuart is a retired teacher and has been a trustee for Reach for some years. He has 2 sons, 1 daughter and 7 grandchildren. He lives in Earley and attends Whiteknights Church. A sport-lover, but his first love is is seeing Jesus’ work of salvation declared in schools throughout Reading.

John was a Pastor of a local church in London for 33 years before moving to Reading in 2013. He is married with four grown-up children and currently the chief Spiritual Officer of Digging Well and a member of Prayer for Reading Core Team. Reach’s mission for schools aligns with John’s mission for a prayerful, Christ-centred community.

Beth has 3 sons and 7 grandchildren. She is part of Brookside Church and lives in Woodley. She has been a trustee since this work began, and has also been a governor of two schools in Woodley.

Mike was one of the founding trustees and has worked for over forty years in secondary education. He is a member of Three Mile Cross Church and has two sons. He has a heart for people to come to a personal relationship with Jesus.

Pete is one of the leaders at Earley Christian Fellowship and has been a trustee of Reach since 2002. He is married to Bernadette and they have three adult children. Pete was inspired to become involved in the work having seen the positive impact of Reach in the secondary schools of Reading.

Janet is glad to use her previous experience of volunteering with charities as Treasurer to help REACH. She is keen that every young person gets to know more about Christianity and the love God has for them.
